"To me dentistry is an art that must be crafted to each individual’s hopes and desires. I listen to every patient and use a delicate, artistic touch to create a wonderful smile that reflects who they are. This has been my mission since day one, and it has helped many area residents discover just how beautiful and brilliant their smiles can be."

Dr. William J. Evans, an Eastern Shore native, grew up in Salisbury, Md.  and graduated from James M. Dr. Evans joined Dr. Andrew Vendelis in private practice in 1983.  They moved to their present location in Cockeysville in 1995.

"Each patient I see is an individual with needs that are unique. Patients feel reassured by my solid background and years of experience, but I always keep in mind that even routine procedures are usually new to my patients. So I always take the time necessary to explain everything in a way that my patients can understand."  " I try to make thier dental procedures as comfortable as possible, and hopefully educate as well.  I like to think that our patients are more then just patients: that they are members of our "family" and also their friends."

Anastasia Vendelis, D.D.S.

Dr. Anastasia Vendelis brings  a caring and fun atmosphere to her dental practice.   A  Timonium "townee", she graduated from Notre Dame Preparatory in Towson and received her B.A. in Psychology from Washington College in Chestertown, MD.  She belongs to the Alpha Omicron Pi sorority.  In 1996,  she graduated from the University Of Maryland, School of Dentistry with a D.D.S. degree.   During dental school she was involved with various organizations such as the American Student Dental Association,  American Association of Women Dentist  and Operation Smile.   Dr. Vendelis, along with her father Dr. Andrew Vendelis,  was an original team member of  Operation Smile's Dental Mission.  She hosted Vietnamese dentists in the United States and traveled to Hanoi, Vietnam where the team educated both the dentists and the patients in comprehensive dental care.  They treated over 500 patients during the three week mision.

Dr. Vendelis is a memeber of several dental study clubs,  Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church and  Saint Joseph's Church.   She frequently presents at local preschools and elementary schools.  "I love teaching children about dentistry and oral health care!  They have so many wonderful questions about being a female dentist.   It is so much fun and so rewarding. "  Dr. Vendelis is also a member of  the  Cool Kids race team  and fundraises for  the Cool Kids Cancer Campaign.

Dr. Vendelis, her husband, three children and two dogs reside in Baltimore County.   During her spare time, she can be found at the gym excercising or on the athletic fields cheering for her children. She is involved in all aspects of her children's education.  She especially loves going to the beach with her family during the summer weekends.

"I believe healthy smiles start with compassion and comfort.   I love coming to work and being given the oppurtunity to form relationships with my patients.  I believe this  time is  necessary to understand and care for them.  I really want to get a handle on their individual needs and their expectations of me. It’s equally important that the people I care for understand their treatment completely.   I care about the entire person,  not just their dental treatment.   I love my patients,  they are what makes coming to work so awesome,  they are my friends.  "     Dr. Vendelis feels that her background in Psychology helps her to accomplish these goals.  "During college,  I had to create behavior modifications programs for fellow students.  They had to choose a behavior they wanted to change or learn.  I created a plan and helped them achieve their goal.  This is very similar in what I do today,    I develop a treatment plan and help my patient accomplish their goals, whether I am creating a beautiful smile or encouraging someone to floss."

Balancing an accomplished career and active family life has given Dr. Vendelis the ability to relate to her patients with warmth, compassion and candor.  Visit Dr. Anastasia Vendelis, and discover dentistry designed with you in mind.

Andrew G. Lericos, D.D.S

Dr. Andrew Lericos got his first glimpse of dentistry as a patient in these very offices almost 30 years ago! An unfortunate pool accident left him with a chipped central incisor, but the care and attention Dr. Vendelis took when repairing the fracture resonated so much with him that he knew a career in this field would be a perfect fit for him, even at a young age.  A native of Glen Arm, Dr. Lericos graduated from Loch Raven High School in 2006 and went on to earn a B.S. in General Biology at the University of Maryland, College Park. There, he received a citation from the CIVICUS living-and-learning program which acknowledged his commitment to community service and leadership and he has continued to serve the underprivileged both locally and abroad while in dental school.

During his four years at the University of Maryland, School of Dentistry, Dr. Lericos served on his class executive board and was a member of the American Student Dental Association, a recipient of the Martin Luther King Jr. Diversity Award, was chosen as a Junior Pediatric Dentistry Clerk, and was awarded the Dean’s Award for Community Service upon graduation. During his junior and senior year at UMSOD, Dr. Lericos sat on the Admissions Committee which helped select the next young men and women who were exceptional candidates for dental school and he continues to be a mentor for other students along that same path as a Pre-Health Committee interviewer for his alma mater.

Dr. Lericos has held jobs in every aspect of the field, from being a dental assistant to working in a dental laboratory making crowns and bridges, but none has been more rewarding than addressing a patient’s needs directly as their dentist. He is beyond enthusiastic to be joining the dental team here at Evans & Vendelis and is looking forward to making connections with the patients in this area.

“My favorite part of dentistry is that teeth are attached to people. I truly enjoy sharing my knowledge with my patients and am so fortunate that this career allows me to get to know everyone that sits in my chair.” Dr. Lericos is a personable dentist with a passion for shaping smiles and alleviating oral concerns. “Dentistry is such an intricate problem-solving puzzle. No patient is the same and because of that no treatment is ever the same. It is a joy solving that puzzle with my patients and doing so in a delicate and comfortable manner.”

Dr. Lericos regularly takes continuing education classes and is most interested in how technology and dentistry are evolving together. He has been fortunate enough to learn conversational Greek and Spanish and has used those language skills to visits the Dominican Republic twice on mission trips with Outreach 360. His other interests include travel and running, having recently completed his fifth half marathon. Dr. Lericos has treated everyone in his life with care and compassion and continues to strive for excellence in every setting.
